DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend Refaeli chosen as hottest woman for 2012

Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli, 26, has been crowned as the hottest woman of 2012 in the world by male magazine Maxim, the British Daily Mail reported Wednesday. This year, readers of the magazine have chosen the winner.

"I am shocked that among all these beautiful ladies, I'm No. 1," Refaeli tells the magazine. "Thank you so much for voting for me! I'm truly honored. This is a title I will never forget."

Refaeli became famous after dating Leonardo DiCaprio in 2005 but has also been successful as an underwear designer, launching her own brand Under.me.

Olivia Munn, 31, who starred in “Iron Man 2” and “I Don’t Know How She Does It,” was the runner-up on Hot 100. The actress, known for her animal love, recently attracted media’s attention when she appeared nude for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)’s advertisement, said Hankook Economy.

American actress Mila Kunis came third, followed by an American singer Katy Perry.
Pippa Middleton, Prince William’s sister-in-law, and American teenage singer Miley Cyrus were also on the list, as the 81st and the 68th, respectively.

할리우드 톱스타 레오나르도 디카프리오와의 전 여자친구로 세계적인 스타덤에 오른 라파엘리는 1위 소식에 흥분을 감추지 못했다. 그는 맥심 공식 트위터에 “맥심 100 리스트에서 1위를 차지하다니 정말 행복하고 영광스럽다. 정말 신난다”고 밝혔다.

라파엘리는 최근 속옷사업을 시작하는 등 비즈니스 측면에서도 성공을 거두고 있다.

2위는 섹시스타로 급부상 중인 배우 모델 겸 배우 올리비아 문이 차지했다. ‘아이언 맨 2’, ‘하이힐을 신고 달리는 여자’ 등의 영화에 출연한 그녀는 최근 동물보호단체인 PETA의 캠페인 광고를 통해 누드 화보를 공개, 화제를 모으기도 했다.

3위는 현재 미국에서 최고 주가를 올리고 있는 배우 밀라 쿠니스가 차지했다. 그녀는 지난해 5위에서 상승했다. 영국출신의 가수 케이티 페리는 지난해 3위에서 4위로 한 계단 떨어졌다. 그 뒤를 배우 올리비아 와일드가 이었다.

이들 외에도 케이트 미들턴 영국 왕세자비의 동생인 피파 미들턴(18위)과 가수 마일리 사이러스 등이 100위권 내에 이름을 올렸다.
