What Makes Students Happy With Kyung Hee?

I am aware the IIE was selected as an official institute for teaching Korean to foreign students who received the government scholarship. It means that once a foreign student is offered the scholarship from the Korean government, he or she is recommended to enter the Korean Language Course at IIE at Kyung Hee University as it is the only one that completely covers all a students expenses.

This is probably not the only reason why the IIE is so popular among foreign students ― other reasons may be the willingness of the staff to help the students as well as their kindness, which they experience when entering the IIE, and the well-managed structure of the Korean language courses. But the question of money is definitely one of the main and most important concerns when a student chooses where to study.

My scholarship is the Korean Government Scholarship managed by the National Institute for International Education Development (NIIED). It is a scholarship for graduate students who intend to enter a Korean university and complete their master's degree there.

Before entering the university the scholarship offers students the opportunity to study Korean language completely free of charge up to one academic year, which means that the scholarship period may be three or more years in total. That is a very generous and great opportunity for all who intend to study in Korea.

I'm a Korea Foundation (KF) scholarship student. I have found KF extremely helpful. If I want to get a scholarship I have to study very hard and do my best. I have a monthly scholarship and I like it. It's quite normal. I like this organization and think that I made a very good choice.

I like how our teachers are teaching us and I like that we have many excursions. There are many interesting and fun, meetings. If we have problems we can go and can talk freely with our teachers. I think it's great.

Initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) of Korea through the help of the International Korean Language Foundation (IKLF), I was chosen to participate in this third year of the Cultural Partnership Initiative (CPI) program.

The main objective of the CPI program is to activate cultural interchange between Asia, Latin America and South Africa based on characteristics and understanding of everybody's culture through two-way communication.

As the language cannot be separated from the culture, part of the program is learning the Korean language. And as a language scholar and sponsored by IKLF, it would be my task to help in disseminating Korean language abroad and promoting Korean language education as a foreign language.

Proven capability in providing good Korean language education to previous students is one of the reasons why IIE is popular. As for example, I've known some Filipino friends who also studied in Kyung Hee University and proved to me that the quality of education they got here was really good.
