TV personality Park Jung-sook and Saenuri Party lawmaker Lee Jae-young will tie the knot next month, with an exact date still in the works.

The wedding was originally planned for later this year but has been rescheduled since Lee will be joining the National Assembly in May.

“The two will definitely wed in May. They’ve been seen shopping together. They are currently overseas, so the exact date will be finalized soon,” a close associate of the couple said.

They plan to hold a private wedding with only family members and close friends in attendance.

The couple is known to have met at the 4th High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan in November.

Their age difference is unusual, but they say it doesn’t matter. The 37-year-old lawmaker is five years Park’s junior.

Park made her debut in 1994 in the SBS drama “Go Morning Wide” and played the queen in MBC’s 2003 drama, “Jewel in the Palace.” She is currently the host of EBS’s “Talk N Issue” and is a visiting professor at Kyung Hee University Institute of International Education.

Her husband-to-be won his seat in the April 11 parliamentary elections.

He is also the deputy director of the Asia Team at the World Economic Forum.
