TOEFL Test Takers to Get Earlier Results

TOEFL test takers will get their results a week faster, the exam's organizer, Educational Test Service (ETS) said Wednesday.

So far, it has taken three weeks for the test examinees to get their scores, but the U.S.-based ETS will shorten the period to two weeks. Hence, it is expected that people will try taking the test more often to get higher scores.

"Reporting scores more quickly help test takers and universities in a very tangible way," said David Hunt, chief operating officer. "Scores get to universities sooner and test takers learn their admission decisions much quicker. It's easier and faster for everyone."
