Korean girl group 2NE1, named the Best New Band in the World by MTV Iggy on Nov. 10, headlined the “Best New Band in the World Concert” at the Best Buy Theater in New York City, Monday.

Four other finalists, Venezuelan dance group La Vida Boheme, Pakistani pop singer Atif Aslam, American electro music producer Skrillex and Malaysian indie pop singer-songwriter Yuna, performed as well.

MTV Iggy is a global music channel that strives to showcase up and coming international artists.

The group was chosen based on online voting on MTV Iggy’s website, garnering more than 4.25 million votes from 169 countries. The initial list of bands was selected from all over the globe, spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea.

The band welcomed the enthusiastic crowd starting with their debut track “Fire.” They continued to perform “Can’t Nobody,” “Lonely” and “I am the Best.”

Renowned fashion designer Jeremy Scott dressed the girls in his 2012 spring/summer collection and attended the concert.
