Spectacular spiral galaxies captured in incredible new detail

Spectacular spiral galaxies more than 60million light years away are captured in incredible new detail, the Daily Mail reported Friday.

Displayed in all their exquisite detail, six spectacular galaxies are pictured more clearly that they ever have before, the report said.

All of them are beautiful examples of spiral galaxies and were captured in images from ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) at the Paranal Observatory in Chile.

The pictures will help astronomers understand how the remarkable spiral patterns in galaxies form and evolve, the newspaper said.

6천 광년 떨어진 ‘소용돌이 치는 은하계’의 장관을 이루는 장면이 믿을 수 없을 정도로 자세하게 잡혔다고 영국의 일간지 데일리 메일이 29일 보도했다.

아주 정교하게 나타나는 6개의 장관을 이루는 은하계는 그 어느 때 보다 더욱 선명하게 잡혔다.

이 모든 장면들은 ‘소용돌이 치는 은하계’의 아름다운 전형이며 칠레에 있는 파레날 천문대의 초대형 망원경이 잡은 이미지 속에 들어있다.

이 사진들은 천문학자들이 은하계의 소용돌이 패턴이 어떻게 형성되고 진화하는지 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것 이라고 데일리 메일이 보도했다.
