Hallyu star Ryu Si-won will marry a woman who graduated from a dance school and become a father next spring. The wedding will take place at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Hannam-dong on Oct. 26.
The 38-year-old posted an announcement about his wedding plans on his fan club’s website, saying “I will marry on Oct. 26. I will also become a father next spring. I am announcing it now because the bride is not a celebrity.”
According to his management agency, Ryu met his fiancé via a blind date arranged by his close aide last year.
Ryu debuted as an actor in the KBS drama “Feeling” in 1994 and has since extended his horizons to prove himself to be a versatile entertainer by widely engaging in acting, singing and hosting popular shows.
After his drama “Beautiful Days” was aired in Japan, he became popular there. He has starred in “Josh ideka” on TBS, “Dondo Hare” on NHK in 2007 and the “Koino Karasawgi” drama special on NTV in 2005 in Japan.
He also released pop music albums and singles in Japan which reached the top of the Oricon Charts and held sold-out concerts for five consecutive years there.
Currently, he is active as a director and racer for Team 106, a professional car racing team and is a producer for new singers.
