The Educational Testing Service (ETS), the developer of TOEFL and TOEIC, is receiving applications from college students for scholarships.
The U.S.-based test organizer said it will open applications until Aug. 13 and select 30 students for the scholarships worth $ 120,000.
Candidates should be a student at a Korean university with a grade point average of 3.225 or above out of a full score of 4.3, or 3.375 or above out of 4.5 points.
They also have to demonstrate their English proficiency skills with certificates of iBT TOEFL or TOEIC scores.
The program beneficiaries will be announced in October.
“Our program is an exciting opportunity for us to acknowledge students who have excelled in the field of English language learning,” said Walt MacDonald, executive vice president of ETS.
