Girls’ Generation

Artists under SM Entertainment, one of the nation’s biggest entertainment agencies, are getting together for a world tour starting next month.

The agency announced Friday that it has organized for their biggest stars to give special concerts abroad on a tour titled “SM TOWN LIVE’10 World Tour.” “The event will be a grandscale music festival branching out to the world. Singers including Kang-ta, BoA, UKnow and Max from boy band TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x) and Trax will appear at the fivehour events and offer spectacular performances, along with special joint stages that have not been arranged before,” the agency said through a press release.

SM TOWN LIVE has already become a famous concert brand in Asia, with performances in cities such as Seoul, Shanghai and Bangkok coming to a successful finish in 2008, and now the agency has decided to move on and aim for the rest of the globe.

“With top artists preparing for an upgraded event, this world tour will be the perfect chance to captivate viewers from around the world,” the agency added.

The world tour will start in Seoul on Aug. 21 at Seoul Olympic main stadium and move to Los Angeles, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Tickets for the Seoul concert will be available from July 15 at 8 p.m. at Gmarket (http://ticket.gmarket.co.kr).

SMTOWN LIVE
