Yang Hyun-suk, CEO of YG Entertainment, which represents K-pop idol G-Dragon, made an apology, Friday, for an obscene performance by the 21-year-old Big Bang leader at his solo concert rated 12 and older.
In a letter posted on the agency's Web site, Yang said, "I offer a deep apology for causing a dispute involving the concert as a producer who should have taken into consideration the possible impact pop music would have on the youth."
His apology came one day after the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs asked prosecutors to investigate the Big Bang member, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, for reenacting sexual acts at the concern at Jamsil Gymnasium, Dec. 5 to 6.

"If Kwon's act is proven to be in violation of Criminal Law Clause No. 245, which bans obscene performances, he and/or his agent could be punished," a ministry official said.
Yang said his agency would fully cooperate with the investigation.
"We will take responsibilities for any parts that conflict with the current laws," Yang said.
He said he would remove all controversial scenes from a DVD of G-Dragon's performance that will hit the market in early February. "We will make sure that we will prevent a recurrence of this dispute."
While singing "Breathe" off his first album, G-Dragon performed a few suggestive sexual acts with the female dancer on a bed on stage, with heavy breathing and moaning coming out of the speakers.
In the following song "She's Gone," a violent background video clip also raised controversy. In the scene, G-Dragon chases a girl and stabs her in the back.

양현석 지드래곤 음란공연 사과
지드래곤 소속사 YG엔터테인먼트의 양현석 사장이 금요일 지드래곤 단독 콘서트의 선정성 논란에 대해 공식 사과했다.
양현석은 YG엔터테인먼트 공식 홈페이지에 올린 서한에서 "대중음악이 청소년들에게 끼치는 영향을 누구보다 신중하게 고민해야 하는 음반 기획자로서, 이번 공연의 연출과 진행을 총괄했던 한 사람으로 시끄러운 논란이 일어난 점에 대해 진심으로 고개 숙여 사과드리는 바''라고 전했다.
지드래곤은 지난 12월 5일과 6일 서울 올림픽공원 체조경기장에서 열린 자신의 단독 콘서트에서 침대 위에서 여성 댄서와 성행위를 연상케하는 퍼포먼스를 선보여 선정성 논란에 휩싸였다. 이후 보건복지가족부는 청소년보호법 위반 여부와 관련해 검찰에 수사를 의뢰했다.
복지부의 한 관계자는 ``지드래곤의 행위가 음란공연을 금지하는 형법 245조 위반으로 판명나면 소속사가 처벌받게 될 것''이라고 말했다.
양현석 사장은 수사에 최대한 협조할 것이라고 밝혔다.
그는 ``현행법에 어긋나는 모든 부분에 대해 책임을 질 것''이라고 덧붙였다.
양현석 사장은 "보건복지가족부의 지적을 참고삼아 오는 2월 초 발표 예정인 지드래곤의 공연 DVD에서는 문제가 된 부분은 모두 삭제하거나 수정하도록 하겠다"며 ``이러한 일이 다시 벌어지지 않도록 할 것''이라고 다짐했다.
