Singer Park Jin-young’s Comeback Wows Fans
Park Jin-young, president of JYP Entertainment, made his comeback as a singer at the 30th Blue Dragon Awards ceremony on Wednesday night, wowing the audience and TV viewers with a charismatic and provocative performance.
At the star-studded awards gala, which was also broadcast live on television, Park performed "No Love No More," a track off his mini-album, "Sad Freedom." It was his first performance as a singer in about two years.
While Park sang his hit song, "Honey," he approached some top actresses and showcased some of his trademark provocative dance moves.
The comeback performance drew enthusiastic responses from many netizens, living up to his promise to fans that he would not disappoint them.
In a letter to his fans posted on his Web site the previous day, he wrote, "I'm very happy to be back as a singer again though it will be only for a month before I go back to being a producer in January."
Park also wrote about the strong connection he feels with the three songs that comprise the mini album. "I prepared for a long time and wrote these songs after I went through certain experiences last winter and spring."
He said he is ready to give strong performances to back the mini-album.
"My goal is to make my fans feel proud of me and grow older together," he said.
Park, producer of pop group the Wonder Girls, will hold his ``Bad Party: There is No Love'' concerts from Dec. 23 to 26 at Olympic Hall, Olympic Park.
박진영 컴백공연에 탄성
가수로 돌아온 JYP 엔터테인먼트 박진영 사장이 수요일 밤 청룡영화제에서 카리스마 넘치는 공연으로 관객 및 TV 시청자들의 탄성을 자아냈다.
TV로 생중계된 이날 영화제에서 박진영은 자신의 미니앨범 수록곡 `노 러브 노 모어'를 불렀다. 박진영이 가수로서 노래부르기는 2년 만에 처음이었다.
박진영은 히트곡 `허니'를 부를 때는 여배우들에게 다가가 자신의 트레이드마크인 `부비부비'댄스를 선보이기도 했다.
그의 컴백 공연은 네티즌들의 뜨거운 환영을 받았다.
박진영은 전날 자신의 블로그에 띄운 편지에서 ``1달 후인 1월이면 다시 프로듀서로 돌아가야 하지만 그래도 가수로 돌아와 정말 행복하다''고 밝혔다.
박진영은 자신의 미니앨범에 수록된 3곡에 대한 애착을 여지없이 드러냈다. 그는 ``오랫동안 준비했다''면서 ``지난 겨울과 봄의 어떤 경험을 거친 뒤에 나온 노래''라고 말했다.
그는 앨범을 뒷받침할 좋은 공연을 할 준비가 돼 있다고 밝혔다.
박진영은 ``팬들로 하여금 나 자신을 자랑스럽게 여기고 함께 나이 들어 가는 게 목표''라고 덧붙였다.
걸 그룹 원더걸스의 소속사 대표인 박진영은 올림픽홀에서 12월 23-26일 콘서트를 가질 예정이다.
