Oprah Winfrey is leaving her show but her successor has been named.
According to Web site of The New York Times, Sony Pictures Television and Harpo Productions, the producing arm of Ms. Winfrey's television empire, Winfrey will be replaced by Nate Berkus, a decorator and design expert, as the host of the daytime talk show, probably in September 2010.
Berkus has been a guest on Ms. Winfrey's show for the last six years, where he has discussed home and fashion design.
John Weiser, the president of Sony Pictures Television, said that the ratings of the show spikes every time Nate makes an appearance.
Berkus, who is openly gay, lost his partner during the 2004 India Ocean tsunami, while he was in Sri Lanka on holiday. He shared his experience with a stunned audience on Oprah's show in 2005.

네이트 버커스는 지난 6년 동안 오프라쇼의 고정 게스트로 출연하였다. 그는 오프라쇼에서 실내장식 과 패션디자인에 대한 친절한 조언으로 인정 받아왔다.
소니픽처스TV 사 회장 존 웨이져는 네이트가 출연하면 시청률이 많이 올라 간다 고 말했다.
그는 그가 게이임을 공개적으로 밝혔으며, 버커스는 2005년 윈프라 쇼에 출연해 2004년 12월 스리랑카에서 휴가를 보내던 중 쓰나미로 사랑하는 연인을 잃은 심경을 시청자 들에게 고백 하기도 했다.
