K-pop group SHINee's leader Jong-hyun has come down with the influenza A (H1N1) virus, SM Entertainment reported Tuesday.
Jong-hyun is the fourth K-pop singer to have been diagnosed with the virus in recent weeks. SS501's Kim Hyun-joong, 2AM's Jo Kwon and singer K.Will were all reported to have been diagnosed with H1N1.
According to SM Entertainment, Jong-hyun caught a cold, Monday. He went to a hospital for a check-up, and received a Tamiflu shot as a precaution. However, he tested positive for the H1N1 virus Tuesday morning.
As a result, Jong-hyun will temporarily stop all activities with SHINee. He is currently recuperating at home.
SM Entertainment said SHINee will continue promotional activities for their latest single ``Ring Ding Dong'' with four members ― Min-ho, Tae-min, O-new and Key.
The group has just released a mini-album ``2009 Year of Us.'' ``Ring Ding Dong'' topped the charts on KBS' Music Bank and SBS' Inkigayo, last weekend.

More on that point: "Dead From Flu or Tamiflu?": 'It is credulous to continue to watch the strange, dangerous and misleading Korean media farce without critical comment. Stories uniformly report on mild cases of swine flu somehow causing deaths while ignoring a list of mounting medical side effects that interact negatively with patient preconditions.' http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/opinon/2009/10/198_52608.html

" and received a Tamiflu shot as a precaution. " Tamiflu is a strong and potentially deadly drug. One person who the doctor 'thought had the swine flu' (and really didn't have the swine flu) was given it. This person died within 24 hours of the vaccine medicine.

There were 8,800 who caught the flu last week. And 42 actually died. Why single him out? Is he that famous?
