Popular Japanese R&B singer Mai Kuraki will be holding her first solo concert in Seoul in November, Yonhap News reported.
Kuraki, who is celebrating her 10th anniversary as a singer this year, will hit the stage at Melon-AX Hall, Gwangjang-dong, Nov. 14.
Originally from Funabashi, Chiba, Kuraki made her debut on the Japanese music scene 10 years ago. She released her first single ``Love, Day After Tomorrow'' in 1999. The following year, her first full-length album, ``Delicious Way,'' topped the charts, selling over 2 million copies.
She holds the record for being the only female artist to have all her singles debut in the top 10 chart. Six of her eight albums topped the Japanese album charts.
Kuraki regained her popularity when she released her 8th album ``Touch Me!'' and a compilation of her biggest hits ``All My Best.''
Her appearance coincides with fellow Japanese pop group V6's concert in Seoul. V6, one of the boy bands from Japan's Johnny's & Associates, is staging one concert Nov. 14, and two concerts Nov. 15, at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park.
