Poets, storytellers, free-flowin' lyricists, folk troubadours, blues singers, mask dancers, serpentine goddesses, performance artists, gypsy fiddlers, grunge rockers, reggae queens and more will perform at Club 500 in Hongdae on June 27 from 7 p.m. till late.
The event is to raise funds and awareness for the Korean Women's Association United (KWAU), an organization that tackles issues such as gender equality.
The KWAU is an organization run by women who dedicate their lives to working hard at standing up for gender issues here.
This time, they will also have an information booth advising people how they can volunteer for various KWAU member organizations (www. women21.or.kr).
Little Travelers will also be available at the event. The items, handmade dolls, are made by women whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
``Over 300 people came out last time to celebrate women's stories and enjoy female performances. It really was a night to remember. So, whether performing or partying, come on out and show your wild side,'' organizers said in a statement.
Tickets cost 16,000 won, including a free drink and raffle ticket. For more information, contact wildwomenseoul@gmail.com
