Roh So-young, the wife of SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and daughter of former President Roh Tae-woo, has become an assistant professor at Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Roh, 47, will teach ``digital arts,’’ which links science and technology to the traditional arts, at the college in Ansan, south of Seoul, from this spring semester, according to the SK Group Thursday.

``I would like to contribute to the spread of digital arts in this country,’’ she said. ``I hope I can raise specialists in this new genre.’’

Roh, a graduate from the College of Engineering of Seoul National University, has also run Nabi Art Center since 2000. Last year, she held the media arts festival ``PARTY,’’ a compound word made up from ``People,’’ ``Art’’ and ``Technology.’’

SK sources said Chey, the group’s chairman, is also supporting his wife’s activities, as digital art goes well with the image of his group.
