Dear editor,
I doubt the term "ugly Koreans" only came from Koreans going overseas to buy sex. When I travel to other countries, I can always spot other Koreans.
In fact, I think the term "ugly Koreans" came from their behavior when they travel to other countries. When I went to Paris two years ago, I was shocked to find that Koreans scribbled on the walls of historic sites in Korean.
Moreover, they not only talked loudly in churches but also took photos where it was not allowed. Nowadays, people recognize Koreans very well thanks to K-pop and Korean companies.
Therefore, we should be aware that we are representing our country when we travel abroad. Then, we will earn a good reputation for being well-mannered and it will help us to be “beautiful Koreans.”
