Dismayed about offensive article

Dear editor,

While I usually enjoy reading articles in The Korea Times, I was greatly dismayed after having read Rick Ruffin’s op-ed article published in the March 19-20 edition.

As an overseas Korean, I was offended not only by the article, but by the fact that The Korea Times chose poor judgment in publishing such an offensive essay on our own culture and country.

I am aware of the right to free speech, and the right to post one’s opinion in the op-ed section.

But do you think any of the world’s leading newspapers would use better judgment than to publish someone’s petty ramblings?
