Students need to take a rest

Dear editor,

Should students in Korea go to school over weekends or in the evenings?

I would like to talk about the school life of Korean high school students.

I’m worried about Korea high school students’ school life. They mostly go to school around 7:30 a.m. And they study about seven hours in school.

After school, they mostly go to cram schools or study more in school until the evening. They need to take a rest. “Too much is no better than too little,” as the saying goes.

I think if they take a rest, they can study more effectively. Most developed countries don’t allow students to study overtime. Nevertheless, they develop constantly. So, students don’t have to do supplementary lessons in school over weekends or in the evenings.

Please consider my opinion. This is such a problem in our country and should be highlighted.
