Popularity of K-pop group

Dear editor,

The Nikkei Weekly has mentioned the K-pop group Girls Generation in its paper. Apparently they are very popular in Japan. Yes, they even have fans in California. I saw someone with a Girls Generation jacket in Campbell, Calif. She was Vietnamese.

I went to YouTube and discovered that Girls Generation, also known as SNSD, collaborated with Intel. When I visited the Intel Tech Museum, the video was one of those playing there. The museum is located in the Robert Noyce building, next to the main lobby.

When I went to the Wikipedia article on SNSD’s second Asian tour, I ran across a reference for a Korea Times article.

I must admit I have not really followed J-pop much in recent years. And I'm not really a big K-pop fan. But I must say some of the concepts behind the SNSD videos are very clever and well done. Whether or not SNSD will become popular in the U.S., I don't know.

If you do have contact with SNSD or their company, please ask them not to overwork themselves. One English fan on YouTube expressed concern about their health. I agree with her. So do others.
