The world today is experiencing the effects of unprecedented globalization in international trade. This has led to economic integration across national boundaries at an ever-increasing speed.

Manufactured goods, services, technology, capital, labor, and even whole enterprises are now moving between countries more freely than ever before. And national economies are becoming increasingly interdependent and globally integrated, because of innovations in information systems, digital technology, and transportation.
