K-pop diva HyunA and her boyfriend DAWN will vie for top spots on music charts.
The couple will release their individual albums on the same day, Nov 5, according to their agency P NATION, Friday.
“HyunA and DAWN (whose former stage name was E'DAWN) will have a competition in good faith,” a company official said. “They have been gearing up for a new leap forward as artists. Please look forward to their return.”
But the agency has not revealed additional details about the EPs, including titles of the lead numbers.
The pair inked an exclusive contract with P NATION in January, a label run by “Gangnam Style” artist PSY. It was launched in 2018.
They ended their contract with Cube Entertainment in October 2018, following a dispute with the company over their private lives. The pair went public about their dating despite the agency's previous denial of a romantic relationship.
Before leaving Cube, the two were members of K-pop trio Triple H. HyunA, in particular, featured in PSY's music video "Gangnam Style" in 2012 and shot to global stardom.
