Family, friends bid farewell to ‘Korea’s Hugh Grant’ Kim Joo-hyuck at funeral

Family and friends of actor Kim Joo-hyuck gathered at his funeral at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul on Thursday.

Kim’s older brother Kim Jong-do, who is chief representative of the actor’s agency, Namoo Actors, and Kim’s girlfriend, actress Lee Yoo-young, led the funeral.

Kim, 45, died from head injuries received in a car crash on Monday. Police are still investigating the accident’s cause.

Kim debuted in 1998 and appeared in several famous films and TV series including “My Wife Got Married (2008)” and “Lovers in Prague (2005).” Recently, he finished a TV drama, “Argon,” on tvN.

The actor will be buried at his family’s burial ground in Daesan, South Chungcheong Province.
