Actor Kim Soo-hyun starts his mandatory military service on Monday, according to his agency.
Kim, 29, wanted to enter the training camp in Gyeonggi Province quietly, so no event was planned for his fans, his agency Keyeasy said.
In his first health check when he was 20, Kim was classified as unfit for active military duty because of a heart condition.
But with his health improved, Kim will serve for 21 months, until July 22, 2019.
Kim debuted in a MBC sitcom “Kimchi Cheese Smile” and shot to stardom with “Moon Embracing the Sun” and “My Love from the Star.”
