President Park Geun-hye supporters allegedly attacked JTBC reporters preparing to broadcast a pro-Park rally at Seoul Station Square on Saturday afternoon.
According to JTBC reports, some protest participants allegedly used violence against the reporters and damaged their broadcasting equipment.
"Even though the organizers of the rally said it would be peaceful, some participants attacked JTBC reporters preparing for the broadcast," JTBC reported.
"The people also damaged our equipment and accused the media of running only reports about Choi Soon-sil based on claims from left-wing groups."
JTBC explained that it had to cancel its broadcast and use only voice reports.
More than 11,000 people gathered at the pro-Park rally at Seoul Station Square at 2 p.m., according to police. Members from nearly 100 conservative pro-park groups such as "Park Sa Mo (People who love Park Geun-hye)" and "Korea Freedom Federation" participated.
During the protest, they shouted "No resignation!" picketing with signs reading "We love President Park Geun-hye."
