A 40-year-old man climbed a tower suspending the cables of the Gwangan suspension bridge in Busan, Saturday, expressing his discontent over President Park Geun-hye’s second apologetic speech she made on Friday about the Choi Soon-sil scandal.
The man, surnamed Choi, climbed 50 meters above the bridge’s deck at 2:50 a.m. and asked police to bring news reporters so they could deliver his frustration to the scandal-rocked President, according to police.
He staged the protest for 40 minutes and descended from the tower voluntarily, then he was apprehended and taken to a police station where he was charged with obstruction of public officials.
