A screaming, half-naked woman escaped from a security company car on a Seoul bridge on Saturday.

The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Dongjak Bridge, according to TV Chosun.

The car, which stopped abruptly in the middle of the bridge when the woman, 30, surnamed Kim, escaped barefooted wearing only underwear.

“She was screaming ‘Please help me! Please save me! Call the cops’,” said a taxi driver who stopped for the woman.

The car from which Kim escaped then sped away for more than 500 meters before crashing. The driver, a security company employee surnamed Lee, 41, claimed he and Kim were in a relationship and that the car skidded on a puddle.

Lee did not explain why he tried to leave the scene after Kim escaped or why she was half-naked.

The victim is not answering any questions,” police said. “We are having a hard time figuring out the exact cause of the accident.”

Police are't excluding the possibility of rape.
