A drunken man who molested a woman after going into the wrong house has received a suspended jail sentence.
The man was charged with sexual assault after entering the house earlier this year, Ulsan District Court said Wednesday.
The man went into the house believing it was his. But when he realized it was not, instead of leaving, he molested a woman who was sleeping in the living room.
The court sentenced the man to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and a mandatory 40-hour sex-crime prevention class.
"The assailant molested the victim even after he noticed that he was in the wrong house," the court said in its judgment. "The severity of the crime is big. However, we took into consideration that the assailant is regretting his behavior and it's his first offense."
