Nearly half of Korean men in their 30s and 40s think sex with prostitutes is not cheating, a survey shows.
In the survey of 1,090 people, more than 45 percent of men in their 30s and over 47 percent in their 40s did not consider sex-for-money deals as adultery.
"Many Korean men tend to make light of purchasing sex because prostitution is widespread in Korea," said Dr. Kang Dong-woo, head of the Institute for Sex and Couples' Health, who did the survey. "They think prostitution is OK because ‘everyone does it.'"
Meanwhile, Korean couples have the second-least sex in the world, the survey found.
It said more than 36 percent of the married couples said they have sex once a month or not at all.
But more than 90 percent of participants said their sex lives have a great impact on their daily lives and relationships.
