A mobile application that helps Muslim tourists find halal food in Korea has been launched.

According to the state-run Korea Food Foundation, "Halal Korea" provides Muslim tourists with a wider range of food options.

Muslim residents also are beneficiaries of the app.

It gives information on Muslim-friendly restaurants and grocery stores.

It also has information on tourism spots favored by Muslims as well as prayer sites and a compass that points to Mecca.

The application is available free from Google Play and at the App Store.
