The nation has seen no additional cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in the last six days until Saturday.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare said those diagnosed with the disease has remained unchanged since last Sunday at 186, and current death toll at 36. The nation may be able to declare an end to the MERS outbreak if the nation sees no further people diagnosed with the disease, the ministry added.
There are, however, 513 who remain isolated as suspected cases following possible exposure to the MERS coronavirus.
Since the first case of MERS was reported on May 20, about 16,700 people have been subject to isolation for possible infection. So far, 16,168 of them have been released after showing no symptoms of MERS for more than the known maximum incubation period of 14 days for the disease.
