Middle-aged men prefer North Korean expats to their southern counterparts when it comes to marriage, North Korean expats-dedicated online community New Focus said in a recent report.

According to the report, some exemplary date cases prove notable merits of the women group. They all radiated with fair beauty on outside.

But what stood out more from them were mental maturity in forms of generosity toward male partners and not being picky about the males’ personal backgrounds.

The merits partly come from their harsh past experiences. North Korean expats confront life-threatening moments as they escape the secluded state, some at young ages.

To land on safe ground cost them guts and risks, which later nurture their spiritual status. In case of the female expats, it is reflected on the males as respectable and attractive edges.

The expats also didn’t bring along a handful of terms for the males to match. The cases showed that as long as the males had decent economical competence, the women were cool enough to take the romantic venture.

It helped males with somewhat disadvantageous descriptions, including divorcees raising children from first marriage and others with poor education history.

The report said the males first tend to be defensive when knowing they were meeting North Korean expats; they worry about cultural differences and even doubt whether the women are spies. But as the two clash and wait for development, most males turn out to be all over their partners.

According to statistics from dating service companies, 48.3 percent of unmarried men and 51.1 percent of divorced men ask for second dates when dating South Korean women. But when dating North Korean expats, 65 percent of men, both unmarried and divorced, ask for second dates.
