Crew members salute from the Navy's third 1,800-ton KSS-II submarine, named after the late independence fighter Ahn Jung-geun, at the ninth flotilla submarine base in Jinhae, South Gyeongsang Province, Wednesday. The Navy, which currently has three 1,800-ton submarines and nine 1,200-ton submarines, plans to add nine 3,000-ton submarines to its fleet starting 2020.
