North Korea Sunday reported the death of former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun, in an unusually prompt reaction made just one day after his apparent suicide.
"According to reports, former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun died on the morning of May 23," the official Korean Central News Agency was quoted as saying by Yonhap News Agency.
The two-sentence report suggested Roh may have died from psychological pressure in the face of a corruption probe.
Prosecutors summoned Roh on April 30 to investigate allegations that he had received at least $6 million from a businessman, which he denied.
