The Korea Customs Service has found, among others, human flesh capsules making their way through the customs office of Incheon International Airport.
As much as 468 kilograms of such illegal products were found in 1,715 instances.
Aside from the human flesh capsules, there were products containing items from scarecrows and toads, not to mention those from dogs.
The human flesh capsules are believed to have been made from dead infants.
The police confiscated the capsules and ran DNA tests to reveal that the contents are that of human beings.
“Many of the products were labeled as health supplements but many of them had contents that were detrimental to the human body,” said one customs inspector.
