How do you suppose North Korea goes about selecting women for hostess services?

According to Suh Min-chul, 45, who defected to South Korea in 2011, there are strict rules in selecting women for providing services to the upper levels of the North Korean government.

The screening process includes not only the skin complex, height and the status of health, but whether or not the subjects have had sexual experiences.

The women selected by the Organizational Management Department 65 of the North Korean government take up numerous positions, including entertainment for North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Some of the most preferred women are those aged 30-43 who had been married but are not longer with spouses. Only 12 are selected each year.

They undergo educational training for two years and are attached directly to Kim Jong-un.

The second category involves women aged 19-23 who are referred to as volunteer workers.

They have to be more than 162 centimeters tall and have pleasant physical appearances. Most important, they must not have experiences of sexual intercourse.
