'어린이집서 학대받아…' 충격적 사진 논란

The revelation came on the Internet as photos of a bruised child were posted with captions specifying the name of the child care center.

The postings have been spreading quickly through social network services, including Twitter, while the operator of the center is denying any such allegations.

She said she detected bruises on the child's neck on Tuesday and informed the mother who did not seem to be disturbed.

The mother, however, said she found additional bruises in her child's back and decided to take pictures and post them on SNS.

The two parties have filed charges with the police, each insisting that the other party is to blame for what apparently happened to the child and they will be headed to court once the police complete their investigations.

울산의 한 어린이집에서 18개월 된 유아가 학대를 당했다는 주장이 제기돼 논란이 일고 있다.

19일 오전부터 인터넷에는 등이 시퍼렇게 멍든 아이의 사진이 게재돼 널리 퍼졌다.
사진에는 특정 어린이집의 이름과 함께 '18일 어린이집에서 맞아 멍이 든 것'이라는 설명이 첨부돼 있다.

이 사진은 트위터 등 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)를 통해 인터넷과 스마트폰으로 급속히 퍼지고 있다.

유아의 어머니와 어린이집 원장은 상반된 주장을 펴고 있다. 지난 18일 오후 2시 30분께 이 유아가 하원을 할 때 어머니와 어린이집 교사가 함께 멍자국을 확인한 것까지는 양측의 기억이 일치한다. 그러나 그 이후는 정반대다.

어린이집 원장은 '목덜미에 희미한 멍을 보고 어머니께 먼저 말씀드렸고, 어머니도 대수롭지 않게 여기고 돌아갔다'고 했다. 그러나 어머니는 '등에 멍이 있었지만 그렇게 큰지는 몰랐다'면서 '집에 와보니 멍이 너무 크기에 속이 상해 SNS에 올렸는데 사진이 퍼졌다'고 설명했다.

양측은 모두 경찰에 신고하거나 고소하겠다고 벼르고 있다. 남구는 즉시 해당 어린이집과 원생 부모를 상대로 진상 조사에 나섰다. 남구는 아동학대예방센터에 신고했으나, 센터 측은 아이가 너무 어려 조사가 어렵다는 입장을 회신했다.

남구는 이날 오후 경찰에 수사를 의뢰했다. 남구의 한 관계자는 '누군가는 거짓을 말하는 셈인데 양측의 주장이 너무 상반돼 판단하기 어렵다'면서 '경찰 수사로 판가름날 것'이라고 말했다. 경찰은 인터넷에 떠도는 자료 확보와 함께 부모, 어린이집 관계자에 대한 조사를 벌일 방침이다.
