Park Geun-hye apparent winner of presidential election

Early poll counts in the presidential elections have shown that Park Geun-hye of the Saenuri Party is headed for a win by a margin that is larger than expected.

According to the latest report from the Korea Broadcasting System at 10. P.m. Wednesday, with 32 percent of the votes counted, Park was ahead with 52.8 percent of the votes against 46.8 percent for Moon Jae-in of the Democratic United Party.

18대 대선, 박근혜 51.6%로 당선 확실

19일 실시된 18대 대통령 선거의 개표가 69.6% 진행된 가운데 새누리당 박근혜 후보가 51.6%인 1천100만여표를 얻어 당선이 확실시되고 있다.

민주통합당 문재인 후보는 48.0%인 1천25만여표를 얻은 상태다.

두 사람의 득표 차는 3.6%인 75만여표다.

앞서 KBS, MBC, SBS 방송3사는 오후 6시 투표종료와 함께 발표한 출구조사에서 박 후보 50.1%, 문 후보 48.9%를 얻을 것으로 전망했다.
