American Airlines to launch Seoul-Dallas flight next May

American Airlines plans to operate a direct flight from Seoul to Dallas starting next May. The airline company said the new flight between Incheon International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will begin from May 10, 2013, and that ticket sales have already begun on Nov. 5 this year. The route will operate every day from Seoul to Dallas and vice versa. The flight from Incheon International Airport will depart at 5 p.m. and arrive at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 4:20 p.m. The flight from Dallas will depart at 10:30 a.m. every day and arrive at Incheon at 3 p.m. The aircraft will be Boeing 777-200 offering economy, business and first class seats. “Korea is a very important market for American Airlines. The new flight route has reconfirmed our interest in the Asia-Pacific region. We plan to strengthen the global flight network,” said Erwan Perhirin, Asia-Pacific Vice President of American Airlines. According to the Office of Travel and Tourism Industries in the United States, Korea was ranked one of the top 10 countries Americans visited.
