A 12-year-old girl who was home alone in the middle of the night was sexually assaulted without even knowing it.
The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m., Oct. 8, when a 20-year-old Ahn visited the child in northern Seoul whom he had met on an Internet site, having checked that she was at home alone.
Ahn played computer games with her until about 2 a.m. then said he will show her “how to have sex” and proceeded to engage in intercourse.
The girl did not even know the nature of what happened but told her mother, who returned home late after working in an apparel center in Dongdaemun, central Seoul, what had happened and the incident was immediately reportedly to the police. Ahn was caught by the police in his home in Songdong-gu, eastern Seoul.
Ahn was then arrested for sexually assaulting children.
The whole incident began when Ahn contacted the girl online on a youth consulting site and managed to get her address after several contacts during which he asked her general questions like “have you had lunch?” and “Have you been to school?” making her put down her guard.
