The number of views for the YouTube video of Psy’s recent concert in central Seoul reached 10.9 million as of Thursday.
The performance was on Oct. 6 at Seoul Plaza in front of City Hall on Oct. 6.
The video was produced and posted on YouTube by the Korean Culture and Information Service affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Korean rapper held the concert after promising to perform free should his hit song “Gangnam Style” reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard chart, despite it being stuck at No. 2 for a second week behind Maroon 5’s “One More Night.”
Of the total views, about 2.5 million were from the United States. People from other countries around the world have been watching the concert. There are also more than 19,000 comments on the video.
Psy is expected to release his first album in the United States around mid-November after he finishes commitments in Korea including a show at the Korean Grand Prix in Yeongam, South Jeolla Province, Sunday.
