’Winter Wonderland’ at Ananti Club
By Lee Hyo-sik Ananti Club Seoul, located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, will soon be transformed into a winter wonderland attracting families seeking to enjoy a range of outdoor activities in winter. Korea’s first family-oriented golf resort where fathers can play golf, while kids and mothers engage in a wide array of activities at the club house and other facilities, will offer a comprehensive winter activity program called ``Walkin’ in Winter Wonderland’’ from Jan. 3 to Feb. 5. ``For a month, our high-quality 27-hole golf course will turn into a winter wonderland. We have prepared many more outdoor activities for our family customers during the upcoming season to make them go home fully satisfied,’’ said Sante Ahn, general manager of Ananti Club Seoul. ``From spring to fall, we cater to golfers and their family members. Fathers golf on our beautiful course, while the rest of the family has fun in our outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and other amazing facilities at the club house. In winter, it becomes a great place where families with kids can enjoy a wide array of fun activities,’’ Ahn said all of his customers will go home with wonderful memories after spending time at Ananti, citing its various experience-based outdoor winter activities, the beautiful natural scenery surrounding the resort, and high-quality service from staff. Dogsled and snow-trekking ![]() The resort, just a 40-minute drive from southern Seoul, will provide families with kids the opportunity to ride a dogsled on the snow-covered golf course. ``We are the one and only leisure facility that runs a dogsled program in the country. It was the most popular program among our customers last year. We will bring in more Siberian huskies to serve more customers,’’ Ahn said. The price is set at 30,000 won for adults and 25,000 won for children. But on the opening day, the first 10 families will be offered a free ride. Additionally, families who would like to stroll on the snow-covered golf course can participate in the snow trekking program. Participants will walk on a 3.5-kilometer course, which takes about one and a half hours. It is open to public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 20,000 won for adults and 15,000 won for children, including equipment rental. ![]() There will also be makeshift snack bars along the course offering beverages and snacks. Playing with animals outdoors Ananti Club plans to introduce new programs to better serve young customers. It will operate a “petting club” in which children can play with Siberian husky, Great Pyrenees and other types of dogs in an open environment. ``Many children want to raise pet dogs. But it is not easy to do so in an urban setting. For a day, we offer them a chance to have lots of fun with men’s best friend. Children can take photos with dogs and go for a stroll with them,’’ Ahn said. The entrance fee to the petting club is 23,000 won per person. The club will also organize a snowman-making contest and other interesting programs. A male trio from Ecuador will perform traditional music at the clubhouse at 5 p.m. every day from Jan. 1 to Feb. 5. Customers also can get a taste of South American dishes from booths set up along the trekking course. The clubhouse restaurants will offer a range of special menus.
