Mayfield ― Seoul’s only urban resort

The Mayfield Hotel & Resort, located in western Seoul near Gimpo International Airport, offers a resort-like ambience with its views of natural scenery and diverse facilities.

Under the slogan “Special & Natural,” the hotel is seeking to become a beautiful urban resort surrounded by nature. It has green zones with various trees that have been growing for 40 years, some 70 kinds of wild flowers and 3 kilometers of walking course on 100,000 square meters of land.

The hotel’s main building, built with bricks in a European style, has 182 guestrooms including two “ondol” (Korean floor heating system) rooms and one specially designed for disabled guests.

Suite room guests can overlook the trees and flowers as well as views of a golf course.

With a beautiful garden, the hotel offers an outdoor garden party-style wedding. Outdoor wedding ceremonies can be conducted at two locations ― the Bell Tower Garden, a lawn on which there is an antique bell tower, and the Atrium where fountains and sculptures combine to create a magnificent atmosphere.

The Mayfield Hotel & Resort has five restaurants ― Bong Rae Heon for traditional Korean food, Nakwon for Korean barbeque, Michelin for buffet, La Festa for Italian and Yi Yuan for Chinese. All the restaurants use organic vegetables grown on a farm in South Chungcheong Province.

Among them, Bong Rae Heon is especially famous for the taste of its food and the building’s structure. It was selected as one of Seoul’s proud Korean restaurants in 2007 and listed in Zagat’s 2010 edition for Seoul. The restaurant is a hanok building.

The Fitness Club in the hotel has its own building separately from the main building. It features a gym, indoor swimming pools, an aqua gym and a spa facility, as well as resort facilities which most other hotels don’t offer, including an outdoor golf practice range Par 3 and a grass field for futsal. The futsal field is often used for training by Korean and overseas football teams as many of them stay at the hotel, which is near the World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong.

In July, the “Kids’ Club” will open within the Fitness Club to provide toys and other entertainment facilities for child guests, while kids’ slides will be set up for the children’s pool.

The Mayfield Hotel & Resort is five minutes away from Gimpo airport, 20 minutes from Incheon International Airport and some 40 minutes from downtown Seoul. It is a perfect location for both businesspeople and tourists.

Last year the hotel re-opened its banquet hall after undergoing renovation, offering optimal space for any gatherings with state-of-the-art facilities and tailored services. In September, it will also open 56 suites after refurbishments.
