 Royal ritual : A ritual specialist wearing a king’s costume enters Jongmyo, a UNESCO-registered royal shrine from the Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910) in central Seoul, to reenact Jongmyo Jerye, Sunday. Jongmyo Jerye is a royal ancestral ritual paying tribute to the kings and queens of the kingdom and was listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2001.
