Experts find out golden ratio of woman’s body

Listen

Experts have analyzed the golden ratio of beauty to develop medical technology. At first, the research was to find out the standards of beauty during the time of ancient Greeks and Romans through statues such as the Venus of Milos.

There are two golden ratios for a woman’s body. One is the ratio of waist and hip size which is 0.7:1. For example, if her waist size is 24 inches, her hips should be 34 or 35 inches to make her look ideally beautiful. It plays a key role as it draws the main curve of the body.

The other is the ratio of bust and hip size. It is said that the same size would be the best in Western countries, but for Koreans, it could make the upper body look obese. A one or two inches smaller bust size than hip size makes for a well-balanced look.

The shape of the bust is also important. The ideal form is cone shape, which makes a regular triangle from the middle of the collarbone to the nipple in front. The top of the bust should be in the middle of shoulder and elbow with a dropped shape.

In addition, contour lines which the bust draws should be considered as well. If the ratio of the diameters of the nipple and breast is well-balanced, the breast would look beautiful. Doctors discovered that the ideal ratio of Koreans is 1:3:9, after researching 52 women in their 20s or 30s who have beautiful breasts.
