Body of missing girl found

By Yi Whan-woo

Police said Thursday that they had found the body of a dead woman, presumably that of a university student reported missing on April 4.

Haeundae Police Station in Busan had been searching for the 21-year-old collegian from the city following her mother’s report in early hours of April 5.

The girl, surnamed Moon, disappeared after calling her mother on her mobile phone to tell her that she was going for a walk near her house.

Detectives said they looked into the phone call history of Moon, visited her acquaintances, and reviewed surveillance camera videos to find clues, but had been unsuccessful so far.
