Married woman teacher has inappropriate relationship with her middle school student

A married woman teacher at a middle school has allegedly had sex with one of her students.

According to the Gangseo police on Oct. 18, a 35-year-old contract-based woman teacher parked her car in the underground parking lot of Yeongdeungpo Station on Oct. 10th around noon and had sex with her homeroom student who is in the 3rd year of the middle school.

The woman has an elementary school child of her own. It’s the first time for her to have her homeroom class in a little more than a year as a contract based teacher. Her husband has not been informed of the incident.

A text message she had sent to her student was critical evidence of their relationship. It was seen by the boy’s parents, who reported it to the police.

The police, however, wrapped up the investigation since the relationship was agreed to.

“If the boy was under 13, their relationship would have been illegal under the current law,” a police officer said. “However, he is 15. Since they both admitted they like each other, the police can do nothing about it.”

유부녀인 중학교 교사가 담임을 맡은 반의 학생과 성관계를 한 사실이 드러나 파문이 일고 있다. 18일 서울 강서경찰서에 따르면 강서구 모 중학교의 기간제 여교사인 A(35)씨가 지난 10일 정오께 영등포역 지하주차장에 자신의 승용차를 세워놓고 제자인 3학년생 B(15)군과 차 안에서 성관계를 했다. 기간제 교사로 1년 이상 일하고서 담임을 맡은 A씨는 초등학생 자식을 둔 유부녀로 남편은 아직 부인의 비행 사실을 모르는 것으로 알려졌다. 두 사람의 탈선은 담임 교사인 A씨가 B군에게 보낸 문자 메시지를 본 B군의 부모가 경찰에 신고하면서 드러났다.

그러나 경찰은 돈거래 없이 합의에 따라 성관계가 이뤄졌고, 현행법상 A씨를 처벌할 수 있는 규정이 없어 수사를 종결했다. 경찰 관계자는 "형법상 만 13세 미만이면 합의로 성관계를 했더라도 처벌할 수 있지만, B군이 15세이고 두 사람 모두 서로 좋아한다고 진술해 처벌할 수 없다"고 말했다. 해당 학교는 교사로서 윤리의무를 지키지 않은 채 비행을 저지른 A씨를 조만간 해임할 계획이다
