Speedboat that can go below waves

A speedboat is catching eyes as a renowned American lifestyle magazine chose the hybrid water vehicle as one of the top 10 toys of summer, Aug. 1.

Scubacraft is a speedboat that has one feature none of the other boats provide ­ the ability to submerge.

The 1500cc boat will take you underwater just at the press of a button, provided that you’re wearing the proper scuba gear. When you’re under, the coolest toy will speed you through the waters, up to 100 feet (30 meters) depth, thanks to a 160 HP engine, enough power for 50mph (80km/h) above the surface.

The open-cockpit design allows owners to forgo most of the rigorous training needed to pilot pressurized vessels, although full scuba gear and certification are required for the driver and two passengers, the Robb Report said.

Orders for the versatile new machine are currently being taken, and delivery is expected next year.

Price for the watercraft is from $120,000. (140 million won)

수면 위에서는 시속 90km로 달릴 수 있으며, 수중에서는 전기모터를 사용해 시속 5.5km의 속도로 약 90분 동안 운행이 가능하다고.

스쿠버 장비를 착용하고 조종을 하는 형식의 '스쿠버 크래프트'에는 두 명이 탑승할 수 있으며, 판매 가격은 120,000달러 수준이다.
