South Korean Found Dead in Vietnam

A South Korean man has been confirmed dead about two weeks after he was reported missing in Vietnam, an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said Friday.

The body of the man was found on a river bank near southern Ho Chi Minh City on Feb. 22. He was identified only by his surname Lee, 42, who went missing Feb. 20, the official said, asking not to be identified.

Lee may have drowned, he said, adding that the local police will notify the ministry of the exact cause of death as soon as an autopsy is completed.
