Aurora Place building in Sydney |
The National Pension Service (NPS) said Wednesday that it bought the "Aurora Place" office building in Sydney, Australia, for 750 billion won on Dec. 30.
The 49,740-square-meter, 44-story building is prime real estate located at the heart of Australia's largest city.
The NPS has invested in five pieces of foreign real estate over the past several years. They include buildings in London and Tokyo. "Australia is rapidly recovering from the global financial meltdown. The real estate market prospects are quite good, and we expect good returns," the NPS promotion team said.
